Purple Octopus Pillow
This is a one of a kind, Shibori dyed pillow for the home. Beautiful hand-sewn embroidery done by a women's collective in a small village near Lake Atitlán in Guatemala’s southwestern highlands. The design features vibrant purple octopus tentacles.
Seller Story: These pillows are hand-dyed on organic materials in Los Angeles using the Shibori technique. Shibori is a Japanese term for several methods of resist-dying to create patterns on cloth. There is are an unlimited number of ways one can bind, stitch, fold, twist, or compress cloth for shibori, and each way results in very different patterns. Each method is used to achieve a certain result, but each method is also used to work in harmony with the type of cloth used.

- Care and maintenance: Machine wash cold; gentle cycle. Use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry low. Warm iron as needed.
