Silk Kantha Fabric Tote Bag
Our Kantha bags are created from handmade Kantha silks scarves and stoles. The artisans are women based in a village in West Bengal, India who use native embroidery techniques to create the beautiful, reversible silk stoles and scarves. Every bag is handmade, so no two are the same. There are large pockets inside for all your belongings, and a coconut shell button to close the bag. Sustainable, gorgeous and sturdy cork handles complete the bag.
Seller Story: Ranjini and Leela is a mother and daughter duo based out of the U.S. They offer unique, eco-friendly bags, scrunchies, and coasters made from vintage saris, kimono silk, and sari fragments and recycled materials. Their artistic philosophy is Wabi Sabi: the art of finding beauty in imperfection and profoundness in earthiness and authenticity is our artistic basis. They have a goal of zero waste and use fabric remnants in their line to create twine or wrap the product for shipping and fill throw pillows! Your purchase helps promote environmental sustainability and responsibility.
