Each large wall hanging can take weeks for José Cotacachi and his family to weave by hand on a traditional loom using locally sourced Ecuadorian sheep’s wool. The majority of colors present in each of José’s works come from natural dyes. José is one of the few remaining artisans preserving the tradition of naturally dying wool. This handcrafted piece is a one of a kind wall hanging.
This wall hanging is a beige background patterned with earthy tones of fish. The bottom has nine white tassels bundled with a beige wool.
